War with Iran? Say what!!!

If you don't believe this is going to happen, then you haven't been paying any attention.

I found the following article in The Age, and thought this is a good kick start for my posting about the tensions between the U.S. and Iran.

Australian 'support' for Iran strike

AUSTRALIA, Britain and Israel have "expressed interest" in a US campaign to launch "surgical" bombing raids on Iran targeting Revolutionary Guard Corps facilities, according to one of America's leading investigative reporters.

In an article in the latest issue of The New Yorker, Seymour Hersh details how the US is making plans for a strike on Iran, beefing up intelligence resources within the CIA and shifting its rhetorical campaign in a bid to win support from the American people should the strikes proceed.

Hersh says the Bush Administration has stopped trying to justify the campaign on the basis of curtailing Iran's nuclear ambitions, redefining the war in Iraq as a strategic battle between the US and Iran. This is because there is a consensus within the intelligence community that Iran is at least five years away from obtaining a bomb, Hersh said in an interview on CNN on Sunday.

So yet again Howard is going to give Bush* a blank cheque when it comes to the lives of Australian soldiers, by backing the Bush* administrations hell bent attitude of control for the ME, just to retain the oil for his own country.

As I said earlier, if you don't believe there will be a war with Iran BEFORE next years U.S. election, then you haven't been paying attention.

In 2002 when Bush* delivered his "Axis of Evil" SOTU he made it quite clear then, that his presidency would be one served as a war president.

Since that SOTU address we have seen him go to war with Iraq by using forged documents, a whole bunch of lies, and played of the fear factor of the world by saying that Iraq had WMDs and planned to use them, even though those WMDs have never been found.

Now we face Bush having a hard-on for blowing the fuck out of yet another country. A country which he happened to mention in his list of "axis of evil" countries, during his 2002 SOTU.

He has a hard-on so painful he has his finger on the trigger and is ready to let lose, so much so there is a large U.S. naval build up off the coast of Iran, just waiting for orders.

But why would he want to do things like this? Quite simply PNAC and their greedy little ambitions. (If you got a lot of time on your hands, I suggest you plow through the pages of this old blog. The person is no longer writing the blog, but the articles that are there on PNAC are well worth reading.

And to think little Johnnie Coward sits in his office, listening to the wank fest Bush* is delivering to him, and then agreeing to send Australian troops, but why? What has he got to gain from this? Enquiring minds really want to know.
